Frequently Asked Questions…

What is CMS?

Content Management System (CMS) is software that creates and manages digital content.  Your website will be built using the WordPress platform for content management.

WordPress is easy to use, customizable, with built-in blog capability, and it’s flexible.

Can I make changes to my website?

Yes!  You can make as many changes as you want and as often as you want.

You have access to add or delete pages*, blog posts, projects and portfolio items, manage your media library (where all your pictures are kept), manage categories and tags, and moderate comments.

* Pages are the foundation of your website and we don’t recommend adding or deleting pages as there’s more to it than just putting pictures and text on a page.  A $5 fee is added to your monthly lease payment for each new page added.

What if I don't know how to make changes?

How-to documentation is available from your dashboard.  If you’re a visual learner, video tutorials are available for some how-tos.

If you can’t find what you need to do, I’m just a phone call or email away.

What if I break my site or it gets hacked?

First, don’t panic!  Mistakes happen, broken websites happen and yes, hacked sites happen.  That’s why it’s so important to to keep the security software up-to-date and have a regular backup plan.

We can replace your entire site within a few minutes.  Every leased website we create includes a daily backup plan and keep the backup securely tucked away just for this reason.

Will I be able to use Google Analytics

Google analytics is included in all packages.  All you need to do is give us the analytics code of your google account.  We do not offer training on Google Analytics, however Google does!

What happens when my contract is up?

There are 2 Options:

  1. We can change your terms and switch to a month-to-month lease with a 30-day notice in writing (email).  We’ll send you a contract addendum to sign stating exactly this and that’s it.
  2. We’ll negotiate a new contract.
Can I cancel my contract?

No, when you signed your contract, you entered into a legally binding agreement.

Will my lease payments change?

Not unless you add pages or functionality to your site.  Your lease will remain the same for as long as you lease your site.

Do I own my website and/or domain name?

Not for the first 48 months.  Luna Bug, LLC (dba owns the website (including design and underlying code) and domain name(s); you are leasing these from Luna Bug, LLC.

After 48 months of consecutive lease, you will own your site.  Contracts for continued site maintenance can be negotiated at that time.

You do own domain names you purchased yourself.  You also own all images and text you supplied.

How long does it take to launch my website?

That depends on YOU. Yes, you!

You have an active role in making your website happen. You need to supply all the content (text/copy & pictures) and the sooner you get information to us, the sooner we can make your website a reality. We’ll offer direction and suggest services if you need help with something.

That said, once you’ve supplied all the information we requested, your site could be available to the whole wide world in 2-4 days from your start date!

To be fair, your start date depends on where we are with projects currently in progress.  These projects are scheduled and may already have project deadlines.

Where are websites hosted and how secure are they?

A website host is where your website lives. We use SiteGround web hosting; they’ve been rated a top host for WordPress websites.

There are millions of attacks daily on websites.  This is why we take security very seriously and why maintenance is included in all of our packages. Having current & up-to-date software, including security and anti-spam add-ons, is the first line of defense against hackers and malware.

Your site is monitored 24/7 for uptime and we’re alerted if it’s not functioning.

Can I see a copy of your contract before I purchase?
